        Fates Warning DATE:
          May 5, 2001 VENUE:
The Lab -- St. Paul, MN
THE SHOW: The Lab hosted a crowd of perhaps 300.
The crowd was a typical mix with everyone from 21 to 50. Everyone was there to
enjoy the show - no dorks trying to mosh, thankfully. The crowd was familiar with the music.
There had been virtually no promotion of the event except a one-line mention in the
Minneapolis paper -- not even the St. Paul paper mentioned the show, however.
The sound mix was a little messed up; it was often difficult to hear vocalist Ray Alder singing
when the rest of the band was playing. PHOTOS:
These photos were shot HANDHELD (!) on a
Canon PowerShot G1 digital camera, generally with the shutter speed locked at 1/30 sec.
Some photos were shot with flash (Canon Speedlite 420EX).
Depending on how the photos turned out, there are multiple sizes (from 640x480 up to 1024x768) of each image.
