Backyard: Before & After

	Before: July 2008. Back yard & alley. Note the substantial weed problem, primarily plantain (right foreground), old fence at the alley line, the weed shrubs on the left hand property line and at the alley corners, overgrown trees, and the very thin turf. Also notice how little sunlight reaches the yard on the left-hand side.
	After: June 2010. Back yard & alley. Trees pruned and/or removed; fence removed; shrubs removed; weeds eliminated; turf thick and healthy; fire ring installed and woodpile in place. Now there is plenty of sunlight for the left side of back yard. Note prep work for mulch beds over there, too.

South Stairs: Before & After

	Before: July 2008. Invasive burdock (very large leaves at foreground right); overgrown ground cover; poorly maintained stone stairs with large roots pushing stones over.		After: June 2010. Burdock exterminated; accumulated dirt & spruce needles cleared off stairs and path; stones on sides straightened and re-set.
